Mastering and mixing professionals typically work in a dedicated listening room, listening to music under ideal conditions. Their studio monitors are either wall-mounted or mounted on expensive stands, positioned far enough away from studio furniture to prevent accidental bumps. However, for most musicians, producers, podcasters, and others, studio monitors sit directly on the desk. This isn't because it's the ideal solution, but simply because space is limited. Even those who invest in a good desktop stand under these circumstances have to accept that passing people or an inadvertent movement can shift the entire setup – ruining the perfect stereo triangle. Furthermore, conventional studio monitor stands take up considerable desk space due to their base plate. Gravity® addresses these problems with the SP 3102 TM. The studio monitor stand features a table clamp for securely attaching the stand to tables with a maximum thickness of 100 mm. As is typical for Gravity®, tightening is achieved via a sturdy and easy-to-grip knob. Unlike conventional table stands, which require a large base for stability, the SP 3102 TM's clamp base measures only 10 x 7 cm and takes up no more space than a standard monitor arm. Thanks to its clever design, the studio monitors themselves don't protrude too far into the table area – allowing for greater distance from the listener, even on shallow tables, and creating a clean listening triangle with a sweet spot. With the SP 3102 TM, nothing will shift, as the clamp holds the stands firmly in position. Now it's a matter of perfectly aligning the monitors with your listening position – and here, too, the SP 3102 TM offers everything you need. The stand features clearly visible markings for adjusting height, rotation, and tilt. Furthermore, the EVA padding and anti-tip mechanism ensure that your valuable monitors rest securely on the upper shelf, even at the maximum tilt of 15°. Now all you have to do is find the perfect spot.
