The Rohema JB 1 jazz broom has fine metal bristles and a wooden handle.
We make the handle from high-quality hickory. With a diameter of 14.5 millimeters, it sits comfortably in the hand and feels good. The rubber coating between the wooden handle and the wires is important, especially for accents on the cymbals, which sound less sharp.
You can use small rubber rings to adjust how wide the metal wires should be. The wires are not too stiff, but not too loose either. This results in a warm, gentle sound that is very suitable for jazz or Latin.
The JB1 wirebrushes have the advantage over their colleagues with plastic handles that, when turned upside down with the wooden handle, they also deliver a very nice sound and can therefore be used with maximum flexibility.
