The ROHEMA Carbon Rods consist of 9 high-quality carbon fiber rods, which are arranged in a circle around a core made of light spruce wood. The combination of these materials reduces the overall weight. With around 55 grams and a handle diameter of 14.7 millimeters, the ROHEMA carbon rods are between the usual 5A and 5B hickory drumsticks. The honeycomb-like surface of the plastic handle ensures optimal grip.
By using carbon fiber reinforced plastic, the rods are much more durable compared to other wooden variants. The rebound is significantly higher, the cymbal sound has more overtones and the sidestick is crisper and more concise. Compared to classic rods, the volume reduction and the typical percussive sound are somewhat less pronounced.
For everyone who has had rods that have previously provided a musty cymbal sound, too little rebound and too little durability, the ROHEMA Carbon Rods are a real alternative.
