Balladeer series:
A high standard.
The Ovation Balladeer series is ideal for anyone who is looking for a workhorse for the stage and studio in the mid-price segment, but does not want to miss out on an attractive look or sophisticated technical features.
The instruments owe their appealing acoustic sound to their solid spruce top (A-grade), which has a scalloped X-bracing on the underside — a cross-arranged wooden structure - is provided. All models in this series have a center soundhole, i.e. a sound hole in the middle of the guitar top, which is surrounded by a subtle Pearl Oak Leaf rosette.
Equally subtle dot/diamond inlays can be found in the five-piece mahogany/maple neck, which is particularly stable and torsion-resistant due to its construction.
The Deep Contour Lyrachord® delivers increased sound volume with easy handling. Body in the weight-reduced GS version.
But what would an Ovation be without the typical electro-acoustic sound via amp or PA?
This is ensured by an OCP1K pickup, which, with its extra-large piezo crystals, absorbs the vibrations not only from the strings, but also from the ceiling.
An OP-Pro preamp is used in this model series for further processing of the signal.
