Description

In its original form, the Agogo - an impact idiophone - which comes from Africa, consists of two metal bells that are connected to each other via a bracket.

The Rohema Agogo, on the other hand, is made of beech wood, which is sourced from local forests. Two tubular hollow bodies of different lengths are connected by a piece of wood, to which a handle is attached. Children (and of course adults too) hold the instrument by the handle and hit the sound elements with the mallet to produce a tone each.

In addition, the lower part of the mallet can be moved over the notches on the surface of the sound body to produce a ratcheting sound. This two-part scrap tube drum awakens early childhood curiosity and encourages children to independently learn and understand sound production.
