The B188 bass trumpet was originally developed as an alternative to the valve trombone and is suitable for everything from Wagner operas and solo works to jazz ensembles, brass quartets and brass bands.

The one-piece, hand-hammered, professional-grade 7-inch diameter yellow brass bell provides tremendous volume and projection.

It requires the use of a trombone mouthpiece with a small shaft.

The thumb ring on the 1st valve allows for quick intonation adjustments, while the Monel pistons ensure a smooth and fast action.

The clear coat adds a subtle warmth to the overall sound.

These features combined with a 0.485-inch bore allow the player to produce a well-rounded sound that is well suited to all types of music.
