We use all the lessons we have learned in the course of developing and perfecting our handcrafted and professional models in the design of our intermediate and standard flutes. Carefully hand-fitted and test-played by skilled craftsmen, these flutes are more than just affordable versions of our professional flutes. We designed these flutes based on the idea that beginners have special needs and that nothing is more frustrating than learning to play on a sub-optimal instrument.
It is very important for young students to be able to produce beautiful tones as quickly and easily as possible. And it is just as important that these instruments are intoned accurately and centered so that their hearing can develop properly. These flutes help the student to make rapid progress.

Worth knowing:
CY headjoint:
The CY headjoint has a polyconical shape, the mouth hole is undercut in a specific way. This ensures an excellent response and a warm, rich tone and helps beginners quickly produce a beautiful sound. More advanced flutists will appreciate its consistent, rapid response across all pitches.
Keys:
All key shapes and placements have been ergonomically designed to provide a comfortable, natural performance. The manufacturing processes have been redesigned from the ground up to achieve significantly improved precision, which not only results in greater mechanical accuracy, but also minimizes the need for time adjustment.
Adjustment Screws:
The unique Yamaha adjustment screws allow for consistent adjustment and protect against accidental loosening of the screws. The position of the screws has also been adjusted to allow perfect access.
The "E-mechanics":
The E-mechanics is an additional lever that makes the high E more precise and easier to play.
The "advanced G":
This key position allows the instrument to adapt to the ergonomics of the hand and is now standard on every good flute.
