BEAUTIFUL, POWERFUL SOUND, SAMPLED FROM THE FIRST-CLASS YAMAHA CFX CONCERT Grand Piano
The YDP-145 features a piano sound sampled from Yamaha's high-end CFX concert grand piano - a renowned piano that combines brilliant highs and a powerful, resonant bass in an outstandingly expressive sound.
The YDP-145 has the same individual sound — from the low to the high keys — full of brilliance and rich in colorful harmonic content. It gives you extraordinary expressiveness and nuances that appear authentic both in your daily practice and in your most emotional performances.
AUTHENTIC ACOUSTIC PLAYABILITY AND FULL CONTROL WITH THE HALF PEDAL UNIT
With an 88-key piano action, the GHS (Graded Hammer Standard) keyboard mimics the touch of an acoustic piano, from a naturally heavy feel on the lower keys to a lighter touch in the upper octaves. The GHS keyboard offers grand piano-style functionality and feel, allowing for rapid repetition and authentic expression control. In addition, there is a half-position of the damper function, which authentically replicates the dampening effect of a grand piano and thus ensures a wide range of expression variations.
HARMONIC RESONANCE LIKE THAT OF A WING - VIRTUAL RESONANCE MODELING LITE (VRM LITE)
One of the fascinations of the grand piano is the striking resonance that arises from the vibration of the entire instrument. The YDP-145 reproduces this powerful resonance effect through a groundbreaking technology called Virtual Resonance Modeling Lite (VRM Lite). VRM Lite creates a varied sound by simulating the complex resonances that arise when the vibrations of the strings are transferred to the soundboard and other strings. This happens according to the timing and intensity of playing on the keyboard and pedals.
CORE AND POWERFUL SOUND THANKS TO THE “TONE ESCAPEMENT CONSTRUCTION” IS PRODUCED
The YDP-145 uses a newly developed “Tone Escapement” Technology that, in addition to the speakers, brings the sound from inside the piano to the outside. In this way, you can experience the natural sound radiation and three-dimensional resonance like an acoustic piano.
A VARIETY OF INTEGRATED SONGS AND INTUITIVE OPERATION WITH THE SMART PIANIST APP
In addition to authentic grand piano sounds, the YDP-145 also offers various other instruments with a total of 10 sounds - including electric piano, organ, vibraphone and strings.
The YDP-145 also features 353 built-in songs, including 50 famous classical ones, and 303 comprehensive exercises from famous methods such as those of Beyer, Burgmüller, Czerny and Hanon. The instrument is also compatible with Yamaha's free Smart Pianist app — Simply download it to your smart device and connect it to the instrument*.
With the Smart Pianist app you can easily operate the various voice functions of the instrument and thus call up the sheet music display of the internal and external songs. It also has a comprehensive Piano Room function that allows you to adjust the sound quality and resonance settings for the piano sound to your needs.
* A wired connection is required. Make sure you buy the appropriate cable for your smart device.
FUNCTIONS FOR IMPROVED LISTENING COMFORT WHEN USING HEADPHONES
The YDP-145 uses new technology that optimally adjusts the sound balance according to the volume you choose - for an exceptionally natural sound that is gentle on your ears, even when you play for a long time.
It also features a Stereophonic Optimizer effect, allowing you to enjoy the natural, spatial sound you experience in front of an acoustic grand piano, even when playing with headphones.
A STYLISH DESIGN THAT FITS YOUR DECOR
Although it is based largely on straight lines, it impresses with a stylish design, with additional elegant curves that are typical of a grand piano. In addition, you can choose from a variety of color options to match your interior and your personal taste.
