Many children are fascinated by the trombone. It has a powerful and pleasing sound that can glide smoothly from note to note, and it's visually interesting – it's an instrument that promises fun! But unlike most other instruments, most trombones can't be played by young children. Modern trombones were designed for adults, and many who would like to start playing can't stretch their arms far enough to reach all the slide positions. That's why we created the Yamaha 350C. It's a full-size trombone that uses the traditional slide positions but is much shorter. With its ascending valve, you can play an entire scale without using the two furthest positions!

The 350C is not only suitable for children, but also for adults. As your child grows, you won't need to buy another instrument.

The 8-inch bell is the same size as on our standard trombones – and is made of gold brass to produce an exceptionally warm and rich tone.

The secret to this revolutionary design is the ascending valve. “Open” When played, the trombone uses the full length of the B-flat tubing. When the lever is actuated, the instrument's pitch rises by one step, eliminating the need for the 6th and 7th slide positions. Conventional trombones are long, unwieldy instruments. The 350C is not only shorter but also significantly better balanced, making it easier and more comfortable to hold.
