Since the company's founding in Brooklyn, New York, in 1883, the history of Gretsch Drums has been inextricably linked to this borough. It's no wonder, then, that a premium series was dedicated to him, one of only three exclusively handcrafted in the USA, specifically in Ridgeland, South Carolina. The six-ply shells made of maple and poplar are slightly thicker than those of the USA Custom and Broadcaster series and feature the Gretsch-typical 30° bearing edge. On the inside, the classic Gretsch Silver Sealer finish is adorned with the distinctive Brooklyn label and individual model and serial number. The standard-fitted, high-quality REMO drumheads are held by sturdy 302 steel hoops, which Gretsch modeled after their "Stick Chopper" hoops used in the 1950s. With this innovative, top-of-the-line series, you'll undoubtedly find the classic sound of Gretsch drums, but with a unique, modern twist.
