Type of Instrument:Guiro
The Guiro is one of the scraping instruments or scrapers. With these instruments, the sound is produced by scraping on a toothed or heavily corrugated surface. These instruments are always accompanied by a non-sounding stick (mallet), which you stroke over the grooved surface to produce the characteristic sound.
There are two holes in the body for the correct hand position, which make it easier to hold on and even possible for children. The Rohema Guiro is made from beech wood from local forests and finished with a wafer-thin layer of varnish. It is 310 millimeters long and has a diameter of 54 millimeters.
