Want to capture your bass, guitar, or electric piano with brilliant, unadulterated sound? An active DI box offers the best conditions for this – provided it's as high-quality as the Palmer havel. Its low-noise active circuitry allows for a higher input impedance than a passive DI box. This ensures the instrument's sound is captured without any loss of high or low frequencies. High input impedance is particularly important when used with the magnetic pickups in electric guitars, electric basses, and electromechanical electric pianos (e.g., Rhodes), as well as with (passive) piezo pickups for acoustic instruments. The Palmer havel is also very well-suited for synthesizers and other electronic keyboards, as it has enough headroom to process even high-level sources without unwanted distortion.
Of course, the Palmer havel also features a THRU output to route the input signal to your instrument amplifier. With the 30 dB attenuation activated, the Palmer havel can optionally be inserted between the amplifier output and the speaker if the amplifier's tone shaping is to be recorded along with the "naked" instrument signal. The Palmer havel's balanced, low-impedance output signal is insensitive to interference, allowing for long cable runs without any loss of sound quality. Thanks to the built-in transformer, the XLR output is galvanically isolated. Any ground loops that may occur can be easily eliminated by pressing the Ground Lift switch. Power can be supplied via 48V phantom power or a standard 9V battery. You've searched for your sound for a long time and invested a lot of time and money to make your instrument sound the way it should. The Palmer havel transmits your sound faithfully and free of interference. So that your sound reaches the listener exactly as it was intended.
