Virtual Resonance Modeling (VRM)
In a grand piano, the sound comes from the entire body of the instrument, creating a rich reverberation that envelops the listener in the sound. Not only the strings that were struck vibrate, but in response all the other strings vibrate. This is one of the many reasons why the sound of a grand piano sounds so complex and full.
In the DGX-670, this sound behavior is perfectly simulated by Virtual Resonance Modeling (VRM) technology, which calculates the different states of the strings for each of the 88 keys from one moment to the next, thus enabling lively and varied musical expression that reflects the countless factors that go into playing the piano, e.g. E.g. in which octave, how many keys are played, how much force is played and when the pedal is used.
Customize your skills
The simple and intuitive operation lets you quickly switch from the piano to other tones
Test the acoustics in a rehearsal room, stage, church or other space and experiment with how opening the piano cover affects the sound of the piano.
Authentic gaming feel - the weighted GHS keyboard with 88 keys
The Yamaha Graded Hammer Standard (GHS) keyboard provides the player with heavier weighted keys in the bass range and lighter weighted keys in the treble range, just like a real grand piano. SO aspiring pianists can practice and improve their finger technique in preparation for playing an acoustic instrument.
Powerful speaker system
The two-way system offers you 12 cm speakers for powerful mids and bass and a tweeter for clear highs. You can immerse yourself in the piano sound and the automatic accompaniment adapts wonderfully.
The Stereophonic Optimizer - a completely new headphone experience
The Stereophonic Optimizer ensures that the pianist experiences the same high-resolution sound when playing with headphones as when sitting directly at the instrument. Thanks to the Stereophonic Optimizer, the sampled sounds of the acoustic piano seem to come directly from the body of the instrument. This ensures a natural and comfortable sound experience and allows you to forget about any unwanted effects of headphones
