A class of its own.
Extraordinary features, excellent sounds and a consistently high level of quality are the basic recipe of the Ovation Pro-Series.
Over the last five decades, Ovation has made a name for itself through groundbreaking developments and modern designs, especially in circles of advanced and professional musicians. Legendary world stars have been swearing by the instruments from American high-end manufacturers for decades, and model names such as Balladeer, Legend and Elite still contribute significantly to the level of awareness of the Ovation brand. All of these historical models, with their specific features, are combined in the Pro Series and still form the core range of Ovation Guitars.
Ultra Series:
The Ovation Ultra models were produced between 1983 and 1994 as cutaway and non-cutaway versions in a wide variety of colors, features and bowl depths.
The new edition of this model series is specially designed for singer-songwriters. Thanks to the mid-depth/non-cutaway bowl, the guitar sits comfortably close to the body and therefore offers a comfortable playing feel.
The newly designed K-21CT preamp delivers a clearly structured basic sound with defined mids and good string separation. Thanks to this sound concept, the guitar also performs excellently in combination with other instruments and can be easily identified in the overall sound of a band.
With the OCP-2000 pickup, another Ovation innovation is used in the Ultra guitars: an improved piezo material recipe, the more precise placement of the piezo elements and a new material mixture with an increased glass content for the string rest reduce wear and ensure better vibration transmission to the piezo elements and result in increased output.
But the purely acoustic sound of the Ultras also knows what to do. to convince. The A-grade spruce tops used come from Germany and are heat-treated, which simulates around 15 years of seasonal change and creates a mature, balanced sound of a well-rehearsed top. The UV varnish used is considered to be extremely environmentally friendly as it contains almost no reducing agents and can be applied ultra-thinly. A correspondingly thin layer of lacquer slows down the vibration behavior of the ceiling significantly less, which in turn audibly benefits the sound.
All Ultra models are delivered with a stylish, 20 mm thick padded soft case.
