The shaft of the ruby baton is made of light, white; painted carbon. We use Black Hornwood, a beech plywood, for the handle. The reddish color with our wax-oil finish highlights the natural structure of the wood and is reminiscent of the ruby gemstone that gives it its name.

At 40 centimeters, the ruby is slightly longer than the agate baton. So it offers more visibility and is suitable for conductors who like to use longer batons.

With the teardrop-shaped handle, the ruby, like the agate, is a special feature and is very comfortable to hold. Due to the length of the handle of 76 millimeters, the round upper end offers extra support in almost any hand position. Combined with the balance point located far back and the low weight of only 15 grams, the ruby is the ideal companion, even for long concerts.
